The trail leads to the Käpflefelsen viewpoint and St. Jacob’s Chapel, a former pilgrimage church located in the quiet wooded surroundings of Wolfach.
The hike starts at the Wolfach train station. After a comfortable walk, you face a more demanding ascent up a steep trail to Siechenwaldweg, arriving at the heliport of Berghexe. Then, the trail leads to St. Jacob’s Chapel, a former pilgrimage church. Afterwards, the trail continues through the Jakobswald forest to the town hall and the town center, where there are several options for cafes and stores.
This trail is not accessible for people with reduced mobility or suitable for strollers.
